Blog review

With this assignment I am going to visit three different interior design blogs. I think that interior designers use blogs to put their ideas on, it's kind of like a journal for them to put their work. They also might just use it for putting ideas that they've seen on other websites or blogs.

The first site I found was called Home designs(Link- http://www.home-designing.com/2015/01/20-creative-living-rooms-for-style-inspiration) This blog shows different home designs but the part I found it was living rooms, this blog as a lot of inspiration. After exploring this blog I want all these rooms!

The second site I found was called style me pretty (Link-  http://www.stylemepretty.com/living/). This blog is a kind of cute blog with little tips in it, as in the how to properly set a table.

The third site I found was called House Beautiful (Link-http://www.housebeautiful.com/home-remodeling/interior-designers/tips/a2883/libby-langdon-living-room-tips/ ). This blog has tons of examples of rooms and there's tips on things like how to make your living room more conferrable.

My favorite out of the three of them has to be the first site I found, because they had a lot of rooms that I liked and wanted. From the three sites I was on I would say that the new trends are brick walls, having a lot of white in your rooms, and mixing patterns together.

Mood board

mood board assignment 1This week in interior design we were learning about olioboards are and why we use them. An olioboard is an online, interior design, mood board creator, where users can create 2D and 3D room designs room designs using real products from all their favorite brands. Why do we use olioboards? Well interior designs can't read your mind to know what you want in your home, so they need something to go off of.  The mood board I made explains my personality because it looks clean yet cozy at the same time. The room is all lighter colors because it seems to make it look cleaner. My room ended up costing $4662.89, which isnt a lot of money for a full living room. In conclusion this board explains what kind of personality I have and what kind of items I would love to have.
